Obituary
Mrs. Etta B. Bird J. Willis Crosby of this town received a telegram Monday, announcing the death of his sister, Mrs. Etta Blaisdell Bird, eldest daughter of the late Hon. Josiah Crosby, at her home in Anacortes, Wash. She was born in Dexter 79 years ago, taught in the public schools and was active in church work, being organist at the Congregational church for many years. After her marriage she went to Fairmont, Minn., to make her home. She was a talented musician and a lover of the best literature. Mrs. Bird is survived by three sons, ten grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. A. B. Stickney, Miss Annie Crosby and Mrs. Charles Altenberg, besides her brother, J. Willis Crosby. Mrs. Stickney and Miss Annie Crosby have been making their home recently with Mrs. Bird and Mrs. Chas. Altenberg resides in Fairmont Minn. Mrs. Bird leaves many friends to mourn her death. She made her last visit to her home town about 14 years ago and two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Crosby visited her in the West.
