Obituary
Adaline J. Crouse The many friends of Adaline J. Crouse, will learn with deep regret of her death which occurred at the home of her daughter, whom she was visiting in Fairfield. She passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, after a short illness of pneumonia, at the age of 71 years, and 10 months. She had a wide circle of friends and relatives, who held her in highest respect for her Christian character and kindly disposition. She leaves to mourn their bitter loss, one son, Hanford B. Crouse, of Dexter and five daughters, Blanche A. Brown, Ruby C. Braddock, Florence M. Duncan, all of Washburn, Abbie G. Ballard of Fairfield and Louise A. Ballard, of Framingham, Mass., all of whom were at her bed- side. Thirty-five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive. She will be held in loving memory by all who knew her. The remains were brought to her home in Dexter last Thursday. Prayer was offered by Rev. W. H. Johnson, Friday morning, after which the body was taken to Washburn by funeral director G. J. Durepo of, Washburn. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Advent Christian church in Crouseville, of which the deceased had long been a member. Floral tributes were many and beautiful, bearing silent sympathy and testimony of esteem.
