Obituary
Warren T. Johnson The following by the Clinton correspondent in the Kennebec Journal will be of interest to many Dexter people who remember Mr. Johnson. Warren T. Johnson, aged 72 years, died at his home Saturday at Town House hill from a long, lingering illness. Mr. Johnson was born in Dexter on March 2, 1858. A great many years of his life was spent in Benton, moving to this village a year ago. He was a kind neighbor and respected by all who knew him. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Johnson; three sons, Warren Johnson, Maurice Johnson and Guy Johnson of Benton; four daughters, Miss Bertha Johnson, of Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Hazel Monk, of Essex, Conn.; Mrs. Myrtie Tardiff, of Flagstaff, Mrs. Maude Evans of Plainville, Conn.; two brothers, Alfred Johnson, of Rhode Island, Lester Johnson, of Greenwood, Mass., a sister, Mrs. Annie Beals, of Dexter, several grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held from his late home, Tuesday forenoon, at 10 o'clock. Rev. H. P. Taylor, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. His remains were conveyed to Dexter by Marcellus Cain and buried in the family lot.
