Obituary
Ezra Cook The many friends of Ezra Cool were grieved to learn, of his death having passed to a higher life March 5th. He had been in ill health for over a year, having been a great sufferer for 5 months, yet looking to his Maker for strength to go through with. One who is always a present help in every time of need. One in whom he had put his trust, being a member of the First Fruit Harvester church. His age was 57 years, 8 months and 5 days. Funeral services were held at the home Friday at 2 P. M. Rev. Wm Rediker of Palmyra spoke words of comfort to the bereaved ones, assisted by Rev. S. T. Seamans of Dexter who offered prayer. Those left to mourn his death are his wife, Mrs. Zelma Cook, two daughters, Mrs. William Fisher, and Mrs. Lione West, besides two sistets; two brothers and one sister by adoption,. The remains were placed in Mount Pleasant receiving tomb awaiting burial in the spring at Kingsbury beside his two children, a son and a daughter, who had passed to a higher life some years before. The flowers were many and beautiful, showing the esteem in which he was held. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock for the late Ezra R. Cook, at his late home on Railroad avenue. The deceased has been a resident of this town for 18 years having come here from Guilford. He was born in Kingsbury 57 years ago and burial will be in that town. Since living in Dexter he has been employed for the most part by the town on its roads. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William Fisher and Mrs. Lionel West, both of Dexter.
