Obituary	W. W. Katen The community was sorry to learn of the death Saturday afternoon of Willard Katen, a prominent farmer of this town, living on the Cambridge road. He had been ill only two weeks and many of his friends had not heard of his illness, so his death came as a shock to all but the immediate family and neighbors. He was born in Corinna 65 years ago but had been a resident of Dexter for the past 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Flora Katen, by a daughter, Mrs. Edna King of Dexter and a son, Elmer A. Katen of Dover-Foxcroft. Two sisters also survive him, Mrs. Grace French, of Brewer and Mrs. Bertha Page of Hartland. Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at 10:30 from the First Baptist church, Rev. W. H. Johnson officiating. The remains were placed in Mt. Pleasant receiving tomb to await burial in the spring in the family lot.
