Obituary
Mrs. Earl Boothby The community was shocked to learn of the death of Mrs Earl Boothby of Auburn, that occurred last Thursday afternoon at four o'clock in a hospital in that city after a brief illness. Mrs. Boothby will be remembered as Miss Mary Marsh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Marsh, and was married to Mr. Boothby only this last summer. Mrs. Boothby was born in Dexter, graduated from the N. H. Fay High school and Farmington Normal, school and previous to her marriage had taught a few years in the grade schools of this town. She was 25 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Earl Boothby, her parents Mr. and Mrs. John P. Marsh, a brother, J. Fenton Marsh, all of Dexter, and a brother, Bernard C. Marsh, of Old Town. Prayers were held Monday afternoon at l o'clock from the Methodist Episcopal church, shortly after the remains arrived from Auburn, where funeral services were held Sunday. Rev. Arthur J. Hamilton, pastor of the local M. E. church, offered prayers. There was a profusion of floral offerings and the attendance was large. All the teachers of the Spring Street school, where Mrs. Boothby taught last year, were present as were the pupils who were in her class. Interment was in the family lot in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
