Obituary
Mrs. Cora Gilman The community was shocked Wcdnesday afternoon to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Cora Gilman, wife of Ruel Gilman, lower Main street. She had not been ill at all and was sitting with her husband in the home when she suddenly dropped from her chair to the floor. Mr. Gilman sum- moned a doctor, but death was evidently instantaneous. She was 60 years of age and a life-long resident of Dexter, the daughter of the late Thomas Farrar, who lived for many years on Maple street. She has been an active and faithful member of the Free Baptist church for many years and only the day before her death made a cake for the church supper. She is survived by her husband and three nephews and nieces, Ralph Morgridge, and Mrs. Amy Grueling, of Woodfords, and Mrs. Elmer Katen, of Dover-Foxcroft. (Other column) Funeral services for Mrs. Cora F. Gilman were held from the home Sat- urday morning at 10.30 o'clock, Rev. Horace H. Hayes, pastor of the Free Baptist church, of which the deceased was a member, officiating. The many beautiful floral tributes spoke of the esteem in which the deceased was held. The bearers were Ernest Farrar, John Farrar, L. H. Folsom and W. E. Robinson.
