Obituary
Byron Robbins The deeath of Byron Robbins occurred at his home on Dustin street Tuesday afternoon, after a long illness. He was born in South Deer Isle 74 years ago, lived for 24 years in Bath and had been a resident of Dexter 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Farnham Robbins, by two sons, Donald Robbins, of Dexter, and W. L. Robbins, of Topsham, editor of the Brunswick Record; by a daughter, Mrs. W. D. Grant, of Grant's Resort, Scarboro, also by two brothers, John E. Robbins, of Cambridge, Mass., and Alpheus B. Robbins, of Los Angeles, Cal., and by two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Mitchell, of Stonington and Mrs. Lydia Steward of Newport. Mr. Robbins while in Bath, was employed at the Jackson Block Shop and in an oilcloth factory. Since coming to Dexter he has been pattern maker at the Fay & Scott Shops, retiring two years ago, because of ill health. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home on Dustin street. The remains will be taken to Deer Isle for interment.
