Obituary
Mrs. Ethel Morgridge The many Dexter friends of Mrs. Ethel Morgridge, widow of Charles Morgridge, for many years a resident of Dexter were shocked to learn of her death Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amy Gruelling, of Woodfords. Although Mrs. Morgridge had been in ill health for the past year she was only confined to her bed for a week. Mrs. Morgridge was born in Dexter 61 years ago, the daughter of Thomas and Abbie Additon Farrar. Until a few years ago she passed her life in this town where she was prominent in both social and civic affairs of the town. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Katen, of Dover-Foxcroft and Mrs. Amy Gruelling, of Woodfords, by one son, Ralph Morgridge, of Portland, and by one sister, Mrs. Ruel Gilman, of this town. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of her daughter in Woodfords and the remains were brought here Tuesday night and funeral services held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the undertaking rooms of Ramsay & Gates Co., Rev. W. H. Johnson, pastor of the First Baptist church officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
