Obituary	Mrs. Mabel Welch Mrs. Mabel Welch of this town was found dead in her bed last Thursday morning by Mrs. James Leighton in whose house on Upper Main street, Mrs. Welch has an apartment. As she was accustomed to arise early, and Mrs. Leighton had not heard her about at 7.45 Thursday she went to her rooms and found that she had passed away, probably not long before. A doctor was summoned and he pronounced death due to heart failure. She had been in poor health for sometime but was downstairs in the Leighton home Wednesday eve-ning. Mrs. Welch was formerly Mabel Dinsmore and although born in Dexter she has lived in other towns most of her life until two years ago when she took up her residence here again. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Rose Burns, who lived with her but at the time of her death was nursing in Canaan. A brother also survives, George Dins- more, of Canaan. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Baptist church, Rev. W. H. Johnson officiating.
