Obituary
Miss Clara Sewall The community was shocked Tuesday afternoon by the sudden death of Miss Clara Sewall at the home of Aaron Knight on Lower Main street. Miss Sewall went to the Knight home Monday evening to get some milk and was stricken with a shock while there, another one following in a few hours, rendering her unconscious. A nurse, Mrs. Arthur Nutter went to the Knight residence to care for her and everything possible was done to help but she died about 4 o'clock Tuesday. Miss Sewall had been a resident of Dexter over 30 years, coming to this town from Exeter. She was a woman of great refinement and pleasing personality, making a host of friends as she worked for years in various local dry goods stores. For the past few years she has been selling women's wearing apparel, from house to house and caring for her sister, Miss Mary Sewall, who has for many years been a shut-in. The deceased was 70 years of age and the sister for whom she cared is the only near relative surviving Funeral services will be held at the Sewall home this afternoon at 2 o‘clock They will be private.
