Obituary
Mrs. Annie Knox The death of Mrs. Annie M. Knox occurred Monday at the Eastern Maine General hospital in Bangor and the remains have been brought to Dexter. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1.30 from the home of her niece, Mrs. Leonard C. Pulcipher, Liberty street, Rev. H. D. Knowles, a longtime friend of the de- ceased, officiating. The bearers were all from Corinna, John Katen, Herbert Frost, Elwin and Alton Puffer. Interment was in Corinna Center cemetery in the family lot. Mrs. Knox was born in Medford, 77 years ago, and in her early woman-hood married the late Lysander C. Knox of Corinna, where they have spent most of their married life. Recently Mrs. Knox has made her home with a nephew, Charles McIntosh, of Corinna. Six weeks ago she broke her hip and was taken to the Eastern Maine General hospital for treatment. Mrs. Knox is survived by two daughters and a son, Miss Gertrude Knox, of Dexter, Mrs. Marcia Hayden, of Belfast, and Maurice Knox, of Newtown, Conn. A brother also survives, Harmon Dugans, of Milo; three grandchildren, Philip Hayden of Brighton and John and Gladys Hayden, of Belfast. Besides the nephew with whom she has been living in Corinna, she leaves another nephew, Linwood Weymouth, of Milo and two nieces, Mrs. L. C. Pulcipher, Dexter, and Mrs. Hattie Pratt, of Maxfield.
