Obituary	Wm. Edward Bolton After more than a year of failing health, which be bore with patience and fortitude, Wm. Edward Bolton died Saturday morning at his home on Center street, where he had resided for twenty-four of the nearly forty years of his residence in Dexter. He was born in East Corinth, Jan. 9, 1852, the son of Hiram and Maria Barker Bolton, and he was the last of the family of six children. Forty-five years ago he married Mrs. Emma, widow of Charles Davis, who died nine years ago. To them were born two children, Wm. E. Bolton and Mrs. Eva Tracy, of Dexter, who survive. There is also a granddaughter, Mrs. Nathan Pease, and a great granddaughter, Marilyn Pease. There are also five step-children, Atwell S. Davis of Sangerville; Luke Davis and Mrs. George Gleason of Dexter; Albert Davis, Pittsfield and Charles Davis, Bangor. Mr. Bolton was frugal and industrious and did a great deal to help those who were in need and distress. From his early days he was associated with farming and became quite an authority in all matters pertaining to that line of work. He was a man of excellent judgment and a helpful neighbor; a good citizen, a kind father and will be greatly missed. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon at 12 o'clock from the home and was attended by Rev. E. Mercer of the Methodist church. The bearers were Wm. J. Clark, Harold Clark, Alton Smith and Edgar Page.
