Obituary
Mrs. N. H. Fay Dies at Age of 82 News of the sudden passing late Saturday afternoon, of Mrs. Ada Fay, widow of the late Norman H. Fay, was learned with deep regret by all who knew her. Although born in Portland, Mrs. Fay had spent most of her life in Dexter, where she has whole-heartedly sought to further everything which tended for the betterment of the community. Although a home lover she has made her influence for good felt widely. She was an attendant of the First Universalist church and always interested in its welfare. She had been for many years a member of the Dexter Wornan's Literary club, attending its meetings frequently this year as well as in the past. Mrs. Fay was 82 years of age. She is survived by one son, Winthrop L. Fay and one daughter, Mrs. Peter S. Plouff, both of this town; by one grandson, Norman F. Plouf of this town and Boston; by a brother, George West of Abbot and four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Witham and Linnie Page of Abbot, Mrs. Otis Blake and Mrs. Belle McComb of Dover-Foxcroft. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home on Free street, and interment was in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Rev. W. J. Metz of the Universalist church officiated and the bearers were William Brewster, Bernard Morancie, William Spencer, Robert Batey, Roy Bradeen and Mellen White.
