Obituary	Arthur E. Leighton Arthur E. Leighton, for many years a resident of Silver's Mills, passed away Tuesday forenoon, after about a month's illness with infection in his face. The deceased was born in Garland, July 21, 1871, the elder son of the late John L. and Rose Leighton and resided there until he moved to Silver's Mills, where he and his brother, Ervin, have made their home together. In early life he was employed in a saw mill where he had the misfortune to lose his left hand. Later he became a barber, which trade he followed up to the time of his death. He was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends who will regret his passing. He leaves besides the brother, a sister, Mrs. Ada Wedgewood, of Orono; an aunt, Mrs. Sarah Young, and three cousins. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:30, Rev. H. H. Hayes, officiating. The remains were placed in the tomb to await burial in the family lot in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
