Obituary	Mrs. Mary G. Blanchard News of the death Saturday, in Waterville, of Mrs. Mary G. Blanchard, widow of the late Dr. L. J. Blanchard of Dexter, was learned here with deep regret, Mrs. Blanchard having been almost a lifelong resident of Dexter, maintaining a home on Zion's Hill and spending her summers here. It has been her custom during the past few years to spend her winters with her brother, Frank J. Goodridge in Waterville, and her sister, Mrs. Fred Sawyer, in Skowhegan. She died at the home of her brother, after a short illness from pneumonia. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of her brother and in the spring the remains will be brought to Dexter and interment made in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Mary Goodridge Blanchard was born in Mt. Vernon, 80 years ago, the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Norton Goodridge. The family came to Dexter when Mrs. Blanchard was a small girl and she later married Dr. L. J. Blanchard, who practiced dentistry in Dexter for many years. The deceased was an attendant of the local Congregational church and for a short time was a member of the Dexter Woman’s Literary club. Beside the brother and sister, she is survived by one niece, Mrs. Herbert L. Swett, of Skowhegan.
