Obituary	John William Henry Nickerson, son of the late Henry S. Nickerson and Thankful (White) Nickerson, died Tuesday morning at his home on Gould avenue, after a sudden illness. He was born in Newport, October 27, 1873. Besides his wife, Minnie (Farrar) Nickerson, he is survived by a son, Irvin Nickerson of Dexter; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Pendlebury of Portland and Mrs. Florence May Willson of Greenville; 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a brother, Frederick Nickerson, and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Tario, both of Dexter. This death breaks the second odd link of family births. William shared his birthday with his sister, Mrs. Tario, now 80, and Frederick shared his with his sister, Mrs. Ida Simpson, now deceased. Funeral services were held at the home on Gould avenue Thursday afternoon, April 29, the Rev. Gilman Lane of the Methodist church, officiating. There was a profusion of beautiful flowers, testifying to the esteem in which Mr. Nickerson was held. The bearers were Herbert Johnson, George Howell, John Goulette and Clifford Goulette.
