Obituary	Mrs. Carrie E. Goodrich The death of Mrs. Carrie E. Goodrich, wife of Hayes B. Goodrich, occurred at their home on Prospect Extension street, at 12:45 A. M. Sept. 25, where she had been an intense sufferer with erysipelas in her left limb and foot for about two weeks. She was the youngest of six children born to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brown of Corinna, who were burned out when she was still a child and the family moved to Garland, where they resided a few years. On Sept. 23, 1914, occurred the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Goodrich and about two years later the family moved to Dexter. She was united early in life with the First Baptist church of this town. Besides her husband she leaves two children, Bertha, 18 years of age and Samuel, 15, an aged mother, Mrs. Flora Brown, who is employed at East Dover, two sisters, Mrs. Walter Bragdon of this town and Mrs. George Page of Dover-Foxcroft and two brothers, Carrol and Samuel Brown, besides more distant relatives to all of whom deepest sympathy is extended. Mrs. Goodrich was a woman of sterling qualities, kind and thoughtful of others, devoted to her family for whom she worked intensely. She would have been 35 if she had lived until Sept. 29. Funeral services were conducted from the home Sept. 26 at 2 p. m., in charge of undertaker Ramsay. Rev. Mr. Weston officiated. Owing to the disease with which she died, only relatives and a few neighbors attended the services. Beautiful flowers sent in, bore silent testimony of the love and sympathy for the deceased and her family. None knew her but to love her None named her but to praise. The food and other helps sent to the Goodrich family during the sickness of both Mrs. Goodrich and their daughter by the Sunshine club and Red Cross society, have been most gratefully received and deeply appreciated.
