Obituary
Gilman Berube, four year old child of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Berube, Grove street, died Thursday night from serious burns on the lower part of the body and legs, received earlier in the day, when his clothes caught fire from a blaze the children started in the basement of their home, with papers and matches. The little fellow was rushed to the hospital, but in spite of all attention possible, the injuries proved fatal. Besides his parents, he is survied by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held at St. Anne's Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, the Rev. C. J. Enright officiating. At the time of the tragedy, Mr. Berube was in Mattawamkeag where he had been called by the critical illness of his father. He returned home immediately upon being notified of the accident. His father died the following day and funeral services were held Monday. The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved family.
