Obituary	GRAND OLD LADY PASSES __________ Mrs. Susan Parsons Nearly Reached the Century Mark __________ The death of Mrs. Susan Thompson Parsons, Dexter's grand old lady, occurred at her home on Main street Monday morning at the age of 98 years, six months and 20 days. She suffered a fracture of the hip about a week ago but up to that time she had been in fine health and alert mentally. She has been cared for for a number of years by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carrie Parsons, who with her son, Henry made her home with her. She was born in East Sangerville, the daughter of William and Jeanette Knowlton Thompson and had passed the greater part of her life in Dexter. She is survived by her son, Forrest W. Parsons; two grandsons, Earl Parsons of Guilford and Henry of Dexter; a granddaughter, Mrs. Harry Young of Dexter; and three great-grandchildren of this town, besides several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. W. J. Metz, pastor of the First Universalist church officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
