Obituary	Gordon M. Nelson Dies at the Wheel Of His Truck Gordon M. Nelson 65, well-known farmer of this town was stricken with a heart attack and died at the wheel of his truck, last Thursday afternoon, about five miles out on the Dover-Foxcroft road near the John Warren farm. A car in which were C. G. and L. C. Starbird of Farmington passed the truck and noticed it was acting strangely. Looking back they saw it had stopped and the driver was slumped over the wheel. Returning they found Mr. Nelson was dead. State police investigated and Dr. M. C. Brown of Dover-Foxcroft was called. Mr. Nelson was born in Tracy Mills, N. B., the son of Darius and Damaris Masten Nelson, was a resident of Westfield in Aroostook county for 22 years before coming to Dexter about 18 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora Nelson; a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur F. Packard of Dexter; a son, Burnes F. Nelson of Corinna; a sister, Mrs. Laura Herrick of Dexter; five brothers, Henry of California, Harry of Presque Isle, Stanley of Newport, Ernest of Garland, and Perry Nelson of Dexter. Funeral services were held from the home on the Dover-Foxcroft road Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. John Quigg officiating. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The bearers were his four brothers, Perry, Ernest, Stanley and Harvey Nelson. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Among those from out of town who attended the services were Mrs. Fred Allen and son, Ross of Westfield; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Nelson and son of Presque Isle; Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Simonson and son, Harold, and Claire Simonson of Clinton; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nelson, and Carl and Edna Nelson from Newport; Mrs. Nettie Harris, Waterville; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson, Dover-Foxcroft; Mr. and Mrs. Tilson Moses, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cook, Mrs. Laura Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Harris, Ralph and Fred Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Curtis, Mrs. Ethel Page, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anderson of Corinna.
