Obituary	Mrs. M. L. Smith The death of Mrs. Bessie L. Smith, 50, wife of Maurice L. Smith took place at her home in Bangor Saturday afternoon following a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, a step-son, Earl B. Smith of Bangor; a sister, Mrs. Walter Hayden of Corinna; a brother, Earl Crowell of Dexter; two nieces, Althea Crowell of Dexter, and Madeline Hayden of Corinna; one nephew, Lindley Hayden of Madawaska; and two aunts, Mrs. Addie Mason of Corinna, and Mrs. Adele Jones of Dexter. Funeral services were held at the home on Kenduskeag avenue Tuesday afternoon, and burial was in Maplewood cemetery at North Bangor. She was a valued member of Queen City Grange, and the profusion of flowers showed the esteem with which she was held by her many friends.
