Wilbur C. Gerry The death of Wilbur C. Gerry, 81, occurred at his home on Highland avenue Friday evening, following a several months' illness. He was born in Dexter, the son of Rev. He always lived in Dexter, where for several years he was a farmer; later being in the grain business in company with Freeland Gerry after which he became manager of the Dexter Grange store, which position he retired from 12 years ago. He was a member of Bedivere Lodge, K. of P., and of Crystal Temple Pythian Sisters. He was a golden sheaf member of Dexter Grange. He had attended the Methodist church for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtie Swanton Gerry; his brother, Frank, of Minneapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Ardel Stevens of Lexington, Mass., Mrs. Evelyn Martin of Dover-Foxcroft and Mrs. F. L. Bradley of Hampden. The funeral was at the residence Monday afternoon, with many friends attending and beautiful floral tributes, testifying to the high esteem in which he was held. Rev. E. Mercer officiated. The bearers were George E. Safford, R. P. Gordon, Charles Crawford and Arthur E. Brown. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
