He was well known in woolen mill circles throughout the state and for many years had been overseer of the carding room at the Amos Abbott woolen mill. He was a member of the Elks Club and of the National Woolen and Worsted Overseers' Association. He is survived by his wife and by two daughters, Mrs. O'Neil Gagnon of Oakland and Mrs. Lee R. Spiller of New Haven, Conn., and by four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic church with Rev. Cornelius J. Enright officiating. Interment was in Mount Pleasant cemetery. The profusion of beautiful flowers spoke of the esteem with which Mr. Holden was held by his many friends. Honorary bearers were, Fred Donahue of Dover-Foxcroft, William Coughlin, John Dyer, Joseph Gilbert, Fred Herrick and William Clark of this town. Pall bearers were Albert Clukey, Francis Coughlin, Simeon Clukey, Joseph Chagkowske, Leo Perry, and Thomas Clukey.
