Funeral Services For Prominent Dexter Woman Mrs. Annie S. Keyte, wife of the late Albert W. Keyte, died in the Sisters' Hospital in Waterville last Friday, evening. Mrs. Keyte was born in Wallace, Nova Scotia, in 1872, and came to Dexter when she was about 18 years old. She worked in the office of Dr. Springall until she met Albert Keyte whom she married two years after her arrival here. One of Dexter 's greatest sport fans, Mrs. Keyte followed every football and basketball game last year. She also possessed a great love for horse racing, and attended most of the fairs in the state. She was very prominent in church affairs, and was a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella, a member of the Ladies' Sodality of St. Anne's and a member of the Good Will Society. Surviving are a brother, Wallace Carty, and a sister, Mrs. W. L. Johnson, both of Halifax; two sons, Fred A. Keyte and Harold J. Keyte of Dexter; three daughters, Mrs. Carrie Shea, Mrs. John Corr, Cambridge, Mass., and Mrs. Roland Mitchell, Nashua, N. H., and seven grandchildren. Out of town people attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. John Corr, Cambridge, Mass.; Miss Mary Tracy, Bangor; Miss Myra Hodgdon, Gardiner; Clarence Boyd, Limestone, Me.; Bernard Nonderwood, Somerville, Conn.; Mr. and Mrs. James Brier, Bangor; Leo Gibbons, Brewer; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Russell, Derby; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Buzzell, Sangerville. Funeral services were held in St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter, Monday morning at 9 a.m. A solemn high mass was sung by Rev. C. J. Enright assisted by Rev. Leonard LeClair of Togus and Rev. Edward Sheehy of Old Town. Pallbearers were Edward Nichols, Clifford Goulette, Adolph Dyer and Theodore Mountain. note: photo accompanied article
