Obituary
Dexter, Joseph Goulette, 68, died early Monday morning, April 21st, in a Bangor hospital following an illness of two weeks. He was born March 8, 1879 at St. Joseph, P. Q. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Goulette. He moved to Sangerville in 1897, four years later moving to Dexter where he has resided for the past 42 years. His wife, Nellie Boulet Goulette, died suddenly a year ago. Mr. Goulette always been employed in the local mills, and for the past 20 years has been a spinner at the Amos Abbott company. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic church, and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Emile Doyon and Mrs. Thomas Courtney of Dexter; Mrs. Ted Shaughnessy of Allston, Mass., two sons, Fernald of Dexter; Justin of Skowhegan and Dexter.; five sisters, Mrs. Effie Clukey, Mrs. Rose Clukey, Mrs. Marion Richards of Dexter; Mrs. Violet Clukey of Skowhegan; Mrs. Jennie Clukey of Fairfield; five brothers: John, Mahile, Philip, Robert and Clifford, all of Dexter; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Annes's Catholic church, with a solemn high mass by the Rev. C. J. Enright. Interment at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
