Obituary	Mrs. Emma W. Brockway The death of Mrs. Emma Watson Brockway, widow of the late Carroll Gray Brockway, occurred Thursday evening, June 2nd, at the home on Pleasant street, after a long illness. Mrs. Brockway was born in East Sangerville, July 12th, 1864, the daughter of James Caswell and Mary Quinly Watson and was the last of seven children. She taught school for many years, and a year or more before her marriage, conducted a dressmaking shop here in Dexter. On November 7th, 1886, she was united in marriage to Carroll G. Brockway and has always made her home in Dexter with the exception of six years spent in Brockton, Mass., with her son, Earle M. Brockway. She was a member of the First Universalist church for 29 years, also a past chief of Crystal Temple, Pythian Sisters, being a member of the old Sisterhood. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Erma G. Brockway, who has always made her home with her mother; a son, Earle M. Brockway and a grandson, Bruce B. Brockway, of North Abington, Mass., also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 5th, from the First Universalist church at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Kenneth R. Hutchinson officiating. The bearers were ... Addison Gilman and Harry Weymouth. Interment was in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
