Obituary
Ralph E. Mitchell Funeral services, largely attended, for Ralph E. Mitchell, 46, were held at the Free Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Horace H. Hayes of Milo, officiating. Odd Fellow services were conducted by members of Plymouth lodge and interment was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. There were many beautiful floral tributes. Honorary pall bearers were Edwin A. Shepherd, Cassius Oliver, Harry Wilkins of Dexter and Adrian Pierce of Dover-Foxcroft, while the active bearers were Bernard L. Thomas, Maylon Dore, William C. Farnham, Walter Eaton, Fred Wentworth and Keith Wentworth. Among those attending from out of town, were Bernard L. Thomas, Mrs. Leroy Bradeen, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thomas, of Springfield, Vt.; Miss Mildred Mitchell, R. N., and Miss Catherine Cove, R. N., of Brooklyn, N. Y.; Mrs. Mary, McClure, Mrs. Annie McClure, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Pierce, Fred Mayhew, and Ernest Gerry, Dover-Foxcroft; Mrs. Clara Buck, Mrs. Jennie Pratt, and Mrs. Charlene Wilson of Greenville; Maylon Dore, Kennebunk; Miss Eleanor Dore, William Dore, Belmont, Mass.; Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Dore, Winthrop; Guy Marble, Mrs. F. Rollins, Mrs. George Cody, Mrs. Calvin Linkweather, Harmony; Mrs. Cora Jordan Mrs. Vivian Martin, Mrs. Herbert Sawyer, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Lewis, Mrs. Maude Litchfield, Hartland; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Graves, Mr. and Mrs. Perley Sylvester, Etna; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Varney, Mr. and Mrs. Verne Merrill, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chase, St. Albans; Mrs. Tressa Dore, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Booker, Mrs. Beryl Smith, Mrs. Flora Gould, Bangor. Mr. Mitchell passed away Sunday afternoon at the Victory Hospital in Brooklyn, N. Y. where he had been a patient following a long period of ill health. Born in Monson, he came to Dexter with his parents, the late Elden and Rosetta Mitchell, when four years of age and spent the greater part of his lifetime here, where he was highly respected and had a great many friends who regret his passing. He was a member of Plymouth Lodge, I. 0. 0. F. and Martha Washington Rebekah lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lettie Mitchell; three sisters, Mrs. Laurel Thomas, of Springfield, Vt., Mrs. Tressa Dore of Bangor, and Miss Mildred Mitchell, R. N., of Brooklyn, N. Y.; one niece, Mrs. Oleta Bradeen, of Springfield, Vt., and two nephews, Maylon Dore of Kennebunk, and Bernard Thomas of Springfield, Vt.
