Obituary	Chester Foss The death of Chester Foss, 70, occurred at his home in North Dexter Wednesday afternoon, after an illness of several years. He was born in Wellington the son of Frank and Harriet Foss, and spent his early life in Harmony attending the schools in that town. When a young man he was in Sheldon, Iowa for several years. After returning to Maine he married Miss Blanche Raymond of Ripley and they resided in Fairfield,, moving to Dexter about 45 years ago. Mrs. Foss passed away three years ago. For the past 20 years Mr. Foss has conducted a general store :at North Dexter, where he was a valued member of North Dexter Grange. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Frost of Dexter; three grandchildren, Mrs. Leona Snow of Lincoln, Mrs. Mabel Hurley of Bangor, and Carl Frost of Dexter; two great grandchildren, Donald Snow of Lincoln and Charles Hurley of Bangor; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Clarence Hanson of Cambridge, Mrs. George Perkins of Harmony and Mrs. Preston Chadbourne of Wellington. Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday forenoon at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Ondon P. Stairs of the First Baptist church of Dexter officiating. The bearers will be George Grant, Val Lippold, Frank Watson and Carol Starbird. Interment will be in Guilford.
