Obituary	Walter E. Smith Walter E. Smith, 74, died Tuesday morning after several years of failing health. He was born in Brighton, the son of Joel and Climena Smith. spending his early life in Greenville and Massachusetts. He came to Dexter about 24 years ago, and was employed in the Fay-Scott machine shops for over 17 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Smith; a son, Leon Smith of Derby; a sister, Mrs. Walter Taylor of Abbot; a brother, J. H. Smith of Alhambra, Cal.; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the residence on Free street this morning at 10:30 o'clock, and burial will be in the family lot in Bingham.
