Obituary
Seth Young Seth Young, who passed away in a Bangor hospital March 13, was born in Brighton, Maine, Oct. 15, 1857. The youngest of a family of eleven children and the only boy, all have passed on now. In 1884 he married Miss Rhoena W. Adams, daughter of the late Olive Staples and James Adams of Wellington. To this union two children were born, Edna, June 10, 1886, who married Fred C. Pease of Wellington in September 1909, and met her tragic death when fire partially destroyed their home Oct. 10, 1921, in Cambridge. Baby boy born March, 1888 lived only a short time. Mr. and Mrs. Young lived in Brighton for about three years and moved to Dexter in 1901, Mr. Young working in the mills and Mrs. Young doing dressmaking. They with their daughter, were members and workers in the Methodist church. They moved from their home to gerville, where Mrs. Young passed away Dec. 30, 1902. March 12, 1908, Mr. Young married Mrs. Alice Farrar of Dexter and they resided in that town for a while then bought and moved onto a farm in Parkman, where they lived as long as he was able to do the work. He made a specialty of cows and they made many hundred pounds of butter, which they sold to customers and stores in Cambridge, Parkman and Guilford. They moved from their home to Parkman Cr. about four years ago and Mrs. Young cared for her husband as long as her strength would permit. Services were conducted from Harvey's funeral parlors in Guilford Mar. 16, at 10 a. m., where beautiful flowers, and friends paid last respects to one who had lived a long, industrious life among us. Surviving besides his wife, are several nieces and nephews.
