Obituary
W. E. Robinson Funeral services for W. E. Robinson were held from the home on lower Main street Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the the Rev. H. H. Hayes of Milo. Floral offerings were in profusion, silent tributes of the esteem in which he was held by his many friends. Active bearers were Jerre Page, Stanley Bement, George Safford, Weston Howard, Clifford Goulette, Charles Davis. Harry Thompson of Augusta and Edward Chase, served as honorary bearers. Mr. Robinson's death occurred early Sunday morning at his home on Main street after a brief illness. He was born in Sebec seventy-one years ago, the son of Edward F. and Viola Morrison Robinson, and came to this town about fifty years ago. For many years he was associated with Fay & Scott, the last years as foreman of the tool department, retiring several years ago. He was a member of Penobscot Lodge, F & A. M. and of St. John's R. A. C. of Dexter, also a parish member of the Free Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cora P. Robinson; a son, Edward Robinson of this town, and a sister, Miss Maud Robinson of Dover-Foxcroft. Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were, Mr. and Mrs. Harold McKechnie of Sabattus; Harry Thompson of Augusta; Miss Maude Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Foulkes, Mrs. W. D. Bryant, Mr. and Mrs. Arno Ireland, Maurice Page, all of Dover-Foxcroft; Mr. and Mrs. Abner Morrison of East Corinth; Ralph Gray and Tyler Rich of Newport; Mrs. May Bradeen and daughter Miss Etta May, and Mrs. Iva Hollis of Pittsfield.
