Obituary	Robert P. Matthews Funeral services for Robert P. Matthews, 48, were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar M. Page, lower Main street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, the Rev. Frederick Niles of the Methodist church officiating. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery and the bearers were E. M. Page, Manford Page, Eben Page, and Fred Sprague. The floral tributes were beautiful. Attending from out of town were Mrs. Charles Sprague, Mr. and Mrs. Hallie Knight of Lubec, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones of Corinna and Manford Matthews of Boston. Mr. Matthews was born in Eastport June 1, 1893 and died at hsi home in Boston, Sunday, August 24, after a short illness from heart trouble. His body was brought to Dexter Tuesday. Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Nora Matthews, two sons, Manford and Robert Matthews of Boston; a daughter, Mrs. Lenore Shepherd of Everett, Mass.; his mother, Mrs. George Lawrence of Dexter and Corinna; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Sprague, and Mrs. Edgar Page; two brothers, Horace Matthews of Trescott, and Harold Jones of Corinna; also an aunt, Mrs. Hallie Knight of Lubec.
