Obituary
Mrs. Olive C. Dyer The hosts of friends of Mrs. Olive C. Dyer, 46, were shocked to learn of her sudden death this forenoon about 9:45 o'clock from a heart ailment. She returned last Friday from a two weeks vacation, spent with relatives in Massachusets. Portland and Lewiston and had resumed her duties as clerk at the Edes Brothers' store and though not feeling well Wednesday remained at the store until closing time. She became seriously ill during the night and died as she was being taken to the hospital for treatment. Mrs. Dyer was born in Dexter in the home where she has always lived on Pleasant street, July 20, 1895, the daughter of the late Charles and Leah Clukey. About twenty-seven years ago she was united in marirage to Adolph Dyer of this town. Besides her husband she leaves two sisters Mrs. Maude Ronco and Mrs. Grace Connors of Winchendon, Mass.; three brothers, Charles O. Cloutier of Hartland, Frank J., and Eddie E. of Dexter, also nine nieces and seven nephews. Funeral arrangements have not been announced but burial will be in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Mrs. Dyer has always been very popular here where she was widely known, having been with the Edes Brothers store more than 24 years. She was a woman of enviable character, possessing a most cheerful and sympathetic personality and was one who received much enjoyment out of life.
