Obituary	Alba J. French Funeral services for Alba J. French, 85, were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thurston, High street, Monday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Fredrick L. Niles of the Mth-Methodist church officiating. Bearers were Clarence Pierce, Floyd Hammond, Arthur Reed, and Manville Russell. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery where Odd Fellows cornmittal services were conducted. Mr. French died Saturday afternoon after an illness of four days. He was born in Sutton, Vt., the son of Bailey and Cordelia French, and came to Dexter with his parents when a child, making his home, in this town ever since. He resided on lower Main street in the house now owned by Charlie Hall until after the death of his wife, May Haskell French, and son, Bailey French, several years ago. For many years he conductd a meat market, and also served the town as selectman. He was a member of Plymouth lodge, I. 0. 0. F. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lettie E. Sampson of Worcster, Mass. and a niece, Mrs. Una Thurston, of this town.
