Obituary
Omar J. Folsom Funeral services for Omar J. Folsom were held Sunday at the home of his sister, Mrs. George F. Huff, Zion's Hill. The Rev. Kenneth R. Hutchinson officiated at a most impressive service. The bearers were four nephews, Charles Folsom, Robert, Howard, and William Folsom. Interment was in the family lot in Greenville where committal services were held. Mr. Folsom was born in Monson November 14, 1870 the son of Levi and Evalyn Packard Folsom. In 1884 he moved to Kineo with his parents where he became a well known guide and expert woodsman. After his marriage to Sybil Paine of Greenville in 1906, he came to Dexter and operated the Dexter Laundry, then located on Grove street, for a few years, after which he moved to Skowhegan where he made his home until about eight years ago when he purchased a farm in Hartland where he has since resided. Mrs. Folsom died in Skowhegan about fourteen years ago. Mr. Folsom passed away Friday in Hartland following a several weeks' illness where he was tenderly cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Leon Buker. He is survived by a brother, Joseph P. Folsom of Guilford; a sister, Mrs. George F. Huff of Dexter; four nephews, Charles H. Folsom of Augusta; Robert and Howard Folsom of Kineo, and William Folsom of Dover-Foxcroft; five nieces, Mrs. James S. Yeo and Miss Evelyn Folsom of Dexter; Mrs. William Palmer of Boston, Mrs. Myron Macomber and Miss Mildred Folsom of Kineo. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the services were Joseph P. Folsom of Guilford; Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Folsom of Augusta; Mrs. Mary Folsom, Robert and Howard Folsom, Miss Mildred Folsom and Mrs. Myron Macomber of Kineo; William Folsom of Dover-Foxcroft, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Buker, Jerry Lary and William Lary of Hartland.
