Obituary
Ralph V. Morgridge Dexter friends of Ralph V. Morgridge, 50, learned with regret of his death in a Portland hospital Monday afternoon, where he had been a patient for two months. He was born in Dexter January 30, 1890 and graduated from Dexter High school and from Bates college. He was principal of Colebrook Academy, Colebrook, N. H. where he taught mathematics and chemistry two years and then served two years as chemistry teacher in Wyoming Seminary, Wilkes Barre, Pa., before going to Deering High school where he was physics instructor for twenty-one years. He had been in ill health for two years, but taught six weeks of the fall opening term. He had been seriously ill four months. Mr. Morgridge founded the Radio Club at Deering High School, and was past master of Falmouth Grange and a member of the Masonic lodge of time of his death. He was a member of the Baptist church of this town and a member of the Masonc lodge of Colebrook. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Vera Blackden Morgridge; a daughter, Mrs. W. T. Fenderson of Portland; a son, Ralph O. Morgridge, a recruit at Fort Devens; and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Katen of Pownal, and. Mrs. W. T. Gruelling of Needham, Mass.
