Obituary	PHILIXINA AMANDA WOODARD DEXTER, Philixina Amanda Woodard, 86, died August 21, 2001, at a Dexter nursing home, after a long period of failing health. She was born September 21, 1914, in Dexter, daughter of Alfred M. and Mary (Obey) Pooler. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Avon B. Woodard and a special granddaughter, Kathy. She was a life long resident of Dexter. She loved the outdoor and enjoyed the beauty of nature. She also owned a camp in Garland and spent much time there in her later years. She also enjoyed spending time with her 9 grandchildren. Philixine was an avid reader all of her life. She became a born again Christian at the age of 85. She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Field and a son, Avon T. Woodard and his wife, Beryl all of Dexter; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Pooler and two sisters, Florida Tibbetts and Rosalie Hollis. Friends may call Fri 6-8 PM at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services will be held Sat at 1PM at the funeral home with Pastor Edward Jaworski officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
