Obituary
Mrs. Grace Gould Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Gould, widow of William S. Gould, Sr., were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Frederick L. Niles, officiating. The bearers were Nathan Daggett, Alfred Lyford, Harry Wilkins and Horace Gilbert. There was a large attendance of friends and relatives and the flowers were beautiful and profuse, tributes of the esteem in which she was held in the community. Mrs. Gould was born at Goffs Falls, N. H., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ireland in 1865. She married the late William S. Gould of Dexter and has since made her home in this town. She passed away in Waterville Friday, January 17, at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Cora Goodridge, with whom she was spending the winter, after several months of failing health. Mrs. Gould was a past president of the Woman's Literary Club and was a devoted member of the Methodist church. For many years she was secretary of Crystal Temple Pythian Sisters. Surviving are a son, Captain William S. Gould, Jr., of Springfield, Mass.; two grandchildren, Miss Helen Gould of Bangor, and William Gould of Livermore Falls; two nieces, Mrs. W. T. Maybury, and Mrs. Florence Brown of Dexter; also several cousins.
