Obituary
Josiah S. Marsh Josiah S. Marsh, better known as Cye Marsh, 56, died Saturday night at 6:30 o'clock at the Sisters' Hospital in Waterville following injuries received a few hours before when he was struck by a truck operated by James Glidden of Albion. The accident occurred near Clinton on Newport road as Mr. Marsh was standing by his car wiping the snow from the windshield. Mr. Glidden told State Police he did not see him until it was too late to avoid hitting Mr. Marsh. The remains were brought to Dexter early Sunday morning and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his brother Charles H. Marsh, on Free street, the Rev. Kenneth R. Hutchinson of the First Universalist church officiating. The floral tributes were profuse and beautiful showing the high esteem in which he was held. Mr. Marsh was night foreman at the Hyde Windlas plant in Bath and the night crew attended the funeral in a body. The bearers were Jasper Lovett, O. H. Warren, Clyde Champion and Ed Farriss. Others from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marsh, Mr. and Mrs. William Robson, Mrs. Ina Littlefield of Bath and Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Brown of Ripley. The body was placed in the receiving tomb and burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery in the spring in the Marsh lot. Surviving are a son, Henry and a granddaughter Joan, of Bath, and a brother, Charles H. Marsh, of Dexter
