Obituary
Almon O. Brown Almon O. Brown, better known as Del Brown, died Sunday morning at his home on Grove street, at the age of 82 years. He was born in Sangerville, but has lived the greater part of his life in Dexter, Garland and vicinity, the last twenty years in Dexter, where he was well known and highly respected. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Amy Henderson of Newport and Miss Mildred Brown, with whom he made his home, also a sister, Mrs. Lillian Walker of Bangor and several grandchildren. Mrs. Brown died October 22, 1939. Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. Frederick Niles of the Methodist church officiating. The bearers were Gerald Brewster, Fay Fields, Frank Millett and Elmer Henderson. The body was placed in the receiving tomb and burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery in the spring. Among those from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Percy Brown, Garland and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Henderson of Newport.
