Obituary	Mrs. Herbert E. Woodard Mrs. Valentine B. Woodard, 55, wife of Herbert E. Woodard, passed away Sunday at her home on Free street. She was born in East Hodgdon, the daughter of Miles and Sara White. She was a member of th Baptist church and the Pittsfield Rebekah lodge. For the past twelve years she has been a resident of Dexter. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Avon B. Woodard of Dexter and Harold Woodard of Levant; also a brother, Herman L. White of Everett, Mass., and a sister, Mrs. Ida B. Rossier of Spokane, Wash. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Advent church, the pastor officiating. A beautiful solo was sung by the Rev. Robert Holcomb. The bearers were the two sons and William Fisher and Lou Farnham. The body was taken to Newport and placed in the tomb at Riverside cemetery to await burial in the spring.
