George B. Knox George B. Knox, 70, passed away early Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter L. Dearborn, Fay Court, where he had been ill with pneumonia about a week after being brought from his home on the Charleston road. Mr. Knox was born in Dexter the son of Jeremiah and Lovina Morse Knox and spent the greater part of his lifetime here where he was held in highest regard by a great many friends. In 1894 he went to California where he remained four years. There he married Edith Joselyn who returned with him to Dexter and to the farm home on the Charleston road more than forty years ago. Mrs. Knox died three years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marion Dearborn; two sons, Merle B. and Harold Knox; a grandson, Barry Knox Dearborn all of Dexter; also a niece and nephew. Funeral services were from the Dearborn home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Ondon Stairs officiating. The bearers were Herbert Mansell, Perry Nelson, George Brawn, Walter Dearborn, Merle Knox, and Harold Knox. The body was placed in the receiving tomb to await burial at Mt. Pleasant cemetery in the spring.
