Obituary
Mrs. Mary Cliche Mrs. Mary Groleau Cliche, widow of the late Fred Cliche, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Nichols, in Bangor, after four weeks' illness following a shock, at the age of 82 years. She was born in St. Joseph, Quebec and came to Dexter forty-six years ago with her husband and family. Funeral services were held at St. Ann's Catholic church Monday morning, the Rev. C. J. Enright officiating, and the body was placed in the receiving tomb to await interment in the spring at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The bearers were four grandsons, Oma Cliche of Dexter, William Clukey of Sangerville, Patrick Lahey and Norbert Nedeau of Bangor. Surviving are three sons, Eddie Cliche and Frank Cliche of Dexter and Norbert Cliche of Bangor; five daughters, Mrs. Victoria Clukey, Mrs. Henry Poulliot of Dexter, Mrs. Georgia Millett, Mrs. John Nichols and Mrs. George Chapman of Bangor, also forty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Among those from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. John Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. George Millett, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Cliche, Mr. and Mrs. George Chapman, Mrs. Lizzie LeVasseur, Mrs. John Sullivan, Miss Ellen Lahey, Miss Elizabeth Lahey and Miss Cecile Nedeau all of Bangor; Mrs. Mike Hollis of Old Orchard and Mrs. Lyman Davis of Brunswick. All of the sons and daughters and the grandchildren, with the exception of three, were able to attend the last sad rites for their beloved mother and grandmother.
