HELEN M. DOSTIE BANGOR – Helen M. Dostie, 84, died unexpectedly November 8, 2000 at Emilio Estates Boarding Home in Corinth. She was born February 16, 1916 at Dexter the daughter of Harry and Gladys Skillings. Helen was a communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church in Bangor and was a member of both the American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliary. She had been a caregiver for the elderly in area homes for over 30 years. She enjoyed travel, her flower gardens and giving to others. She will also be remembered by her children as a loving mom. She was predeceased by a daughter Justine Millett who died in 1979. She is survived by a son and his wife, Kenneth and Gail Dostie of Corinna; 2 daughters, Sandra Irvin and her friend Howard Davis of Dexter, Stephanie and husband John Dakin of Gray; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Friday, November 10th, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, Exeter Road, Corinna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M. Saturday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter with the Rev. Fr. Raymond Morency officiating. Burial will be in the family lot, Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
