Obituary	Mrs. Maude E. Barker The many Dexter friends of Mrs. Maude E. Barker, widow of Fred W. Barker, formerly of this town were sorry to learn of her death Saturday at her home in Brewer, after a short illness. Mrs. Barker was born in Dover-Foxcroft seventy-one years ago and was a resident of Dexter for many years. For a number of years since the death of Mr. Barker she has made her home in Brewer with her sister, Mrs. Blanche Hutchinson, and more recently with her brother, Ralph Merrill. While in Dexter Mrs. Barker was a very active member of the local Congregational church and of the Sunshine Club of which she was president several years. Surviving beside the sister and brother are: a nephew, Merrill F. Sproule of South Nyack, N. Y., an uncle, Fred W. Wyman of Brewer and two cousins, Mrs. Alice Miller and Charles F. Prentiss of Brewer. Funeral services were held from the Clark-Mitchell funeral home in Brewer Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
