Obituary
Charles Fredrick Gould, 74, wellknown farmer died at his home Sunday morning after a long illness followed by a shock. He was born in Monticello, the son of John A. and Elizabeth (Stutts) Gould. Mr. Gould was a former member of the Order of 0rangemen. Surviving besides his wife Lena Bell (Proctor) Gould are four daughters, Mrs. Helen Brown of West Garland, Mrs. Alice Colby Newport and Miss Ju, Gould of Dexter; two sons, Charles and Vernon Arnold of Exeter; one sister, Mrs. Grace Weed of Newport; one brother, George Gould of Philips, Maine; fifteen grandchildren, one greatgrandchild; several nephews neices. Funeral services were held at the of Newport, Mrs. Lillian Nason of Farnham funeral home in Newport Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Philip Lush officiated. Bearers were three son-in-laws, Percy Brown, Sr., Victor Colby, Alton Nason, and Royce Weeks. Interment was in the Crowell cemetery at Exeter Corner.
