Obituary
Harry S. Thompson Commital services were held at Mt. Pleasant cemetary Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock for Harry S. Thompson who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in Augusta, Saturday afternoon. Mr. Thompson was born in Dexter 71 years ago, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Thompson and received his education in the public schools of the town. He learned compositing at the office of The Eastern Gazette when a young man, later going to Bangor where he was employed by the Whig and Courier. For thirty years he was a liniotype operator in the Kennebec Journal office in Augusta, retiring about ten years ago. He was a member of the Modern Woodman of,America and the International Typographical Union. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Rand Thompson. Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday forenoon at 10 o'clock.
