Obituary
Leigh E. Tucker Leigh E. Tucker, 39, died Tuesday night at the Eastern Maine General hospital in Bangor, where he had been a patient for five weeks following an accident. He was born in Dexter the son of Marion and Lila Young Tucker, and graduated from N. H. Fay High school in the class of 1922. In 1925 he was united in marriage with Miss Irene Belanger of Cambridge, Mass. and they made their home in Cambridge for several years where he was manager of the Fiske Candy Shop. For a few years they lived in Islesboro before coming to Dexter two years ago. Mr. Tucker was in the employ of the Dumbarton Woolen Mill. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Irene Tucker, one son, Paul of this town; his mother, Mrs. Marion Tucker of Shirley, and two sisters, Mrs. Charity Pendleton of Bath and Mrs. Hope Pomeroy of this town, also one niece and five nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Frederick L. Niles officiating. There will be organ music by Mrs. Gardys Starbird and Mrs. Berniece Piper will sing "Rock of Ages." The bearers will be Guy H. Hall, Clarence Lauridson, Horace Gordon, and Fred Keyte. Burial will be in the family lot at Mount Pleasant cemetery.
