Obituary	HILDA I. FOWLER DEXTER - Hilda I. Fowler, 70, died February 11, 2002 at an Orono nursing home following a long illness. She was born December 9, 1931 in Benton, daughter of Arthur and Edna (Berno) Clifford. She worked for the Butler Department Store and later for Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter. She lived in this area for many years and had an avid love for cats. She was predeceased by her husband Basil Fowler, and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Clifford. She will be missed by her children who loved her very much. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Bruce and Darlene Fowler of Niagara Falls, NY and Barry and Debra Fowler of Charleston; a daughter and her husband, Jody and Kevin Hardy of Harmony; a brother and his wife, Lawrence and Joyce Clifford of Fairfield; two sisters, Evelyn Bureau of Hampden and Clair and her husband, Dennis Smart of Unity; seven grandchildren, Nikki, Angela, Ashley, David, Cory, Abby, and Olivia; several nieces and nephews. Friends called February 13 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services were held February 14 at the funeral home with Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
